The following year she finished the championship tournament second individually and led the Iolani Raiders to a second place overall standing. During her junior campaign, Akagi-Bustin finished fourteenth individually with her team finishing second overall.
Akagi-Bustin is also a member of the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association (HSJGA) and was named Girls Player of the Year for the 15-18 division in 2013. She has competed in a number of tournaments from the HSJGA Junior Tour Series in Kauai (1st place finish), to the HSJGA Mixed Team Championship (1st place finish), to the Kiahuna Junior Classic (1st place finish). She finished fourth at the US Girls’ Junior Amateur Qualifier and was also a member of the 2013 Asia Pacific Junior Cup champion team.
In addition to her success on the golf course, Zoey Akagi-Bustin has also excelled in the classroom. She has been named a 1st Team All-Star for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu three times, with a fourth expected this coming spring.
