Over the past eight decades, the Lobo Club has opened doors of opportunity to thousands of student-athletes by providing a platform to grow and excel in competition and the classroom.  Afterwards these student-athletes become members of our community, contributing and enriching our lives further.. 

We as coaches, fans and supporters ask our student-athletes to finish strong in everything they do whether it is a pop quiz, the last set of repetitions in their early morning workout or cheering them on during the last few minutes of a championship game. As a community, we have a deep knowledge of what it takes to get students to college.  The Lobo Club is committed to investing in our student-athletes to see them finish strong in their athletic and academic endeavors.

THE NEED: 

  1. Our annual scholarship cost is $5 million and growing in which the Lobo Club is only able to pay $3.1 million from fundraising alone.
  2. We are 10th out of 11 in the MWC for in-state support, student fees and institutional support. 
  3. In 2014, only 34% of high school graduates in America completed their bachelor’s degree.

IMPACT:

  1. Overall, student-athletes graduate at an 18% higher rate than their peers in the student body.
  2. 511 donors have increased their gifts in some way shape or form this year totaling just shy of $354,000.
  3. We have won 34 conference titles in the last four years. Typically, four Conference Titles in one year is high for most schools.

The Lobo Club is launching the “It’s Not How You Start, It’s How You Finish” year-end campaign. As we close out the calendar year, we ask you, the heart and soul of our “team”, to finish strong just as we ask our student-athletes finish strong as they represent our state and our University.
