Team huddle vs. KentuckyTeam huddle vs. Kentucky

Lobo Faithful:Procrastination is the root of all evil….so says my wife! Not a fun email to write (I’ve waited until the last moment), but some bright spots…lots of bright spots, excitement, opportunity and pride. We all experienced one of the “lows of this game we love” Sunday night. Not a great performance from our team, but good enough to win the game or at the least, come away with a tie. 0-0 after regulation and with 1:26 left in the second overtime period, we gave away a scrappy goal to a well disciplined and organized Kentucky team. Tough one to walk away from and two sleepless nights followed. Time to move on…here you go: Lobos vs Kentucky: http://www.golobos.com/news/2015/10/4/MSOC_1004150748.aspxOne of our bright spots, Aaron Herrera, freshman defender from Las Cruces, NM was called into the US U-20 National Team this week for an 8-day trip to Germany (October 8-15th). Matches vs national teams from Germany, Scotland and Mexico. Aaron will miss our match this weekend vs Old Dominion, but an honor and opportunity too good to pass up. This is the price we pay for having talented players. http://www.golobos.com/news/2015/10/6/MSOC_1006150655.aspxWe shot a very somber episode of “Fish Off the Pitch” on Monday: https://golobos.com/news/2015/10/6/MSOC_1006153534.aspx  Off to Norfolk, Virginia tomorrow to face the #11 ranked Old Dominion Monarchs. What a great test for our team and a chance to get on a roll. We’ve challenged the boys, have confidence in them and can’t wait to kick it off Saturday night at 7:00. I like our commitment and competitiveness. Look forward to seeing everyone back at home Wednesday night at 7:00 when we face Valparaiso University in our final non-conference match. GO LOBOS!FISH
