ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico baseball team hosted its annual golf fundraiser at Sandia Golf Club last Friday, and it was a big success for the program.
“It turned out great,” UNM head coach Ray Birmingham said. “I can’t thank everyone that participated enough. This was a huge help to our program, and I appreciate everyone’s continued support as we try to reach our goal of making it to Omaha.”
A photo gallery of the day can be found by clicking here, and although no one managed a hole-in-one to win a free Jaguar, a couple players came close.
“I think one guy missed by only about six inches,” Birmingham said. “There were several close shots. It was a great day and everyone had a great time.”
