Boulder, CO—The University of New Mexico women’s tennis team started their second invitational of the fall season yesterday in Boulder, Colorado. During the first day of the CU Invite, the Lobos came out strong, winning all of their doubles matches.
The duo of Emily Olivier and Andrea LeBlanc won their two doubles matches 6-0 and 6-3. Ruth Copas and Rachana Bhat played together and won their matches as well. Finally, Dominique Dulski and Sharon Coone defeated hosts Nuria Ormeño Ruiz/Annabelle Andrinopolous 6-4 and Kyra Wojcik/Jeannez Daniel 6-0.
On the second day of tournament play, Dulski, Copas and Leblanc each won both of their singles matches. Olivier also added a win for the Lobos defeating Aina Hernandez Soler of Colorado State University 6-0, 6-3. Also winning their matches on Day 2 were Coone and Bhat.
The lady Lobos are at the CU Invite through weekend.
