LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The University of New Mexico Lobo women’s tennis team finished the 2015 Aggie Invitational today. They had seven wins during the final matches of the tournament, including Sharon Coone and Rachana Bhat who won the White Doubles Flight.
In singles play, the Lobos had flight wins from Sharon Coone, who won the Sandia Flight, Ruth Copas, who won the Isleta Flight, and Ludivine Burguiere, who won the Acoma Flight. Andrea Leblanc, Dominique Dulski and Rachana Bhat won singles matches as well.
“With fall just beginning, this tournament provided a lot of opportunities to compete and get better. I was very pleased with our energy over the course of the weekend and our commitment to playing disciplined tennis,” said head coach Kelcy McKenna.
She also mentioned that Ruth Copas, Ludivine Burguiere and Sharon Coone deserve praise after winning their respective flights over the weekend at the Aggie invitational.
Next up, the Lobos head to Boulder on Sept. 24 for the Colorado Invitational.
