LAS CRUCES, N.M.—The University of New Mexico Lobo women’s tennis squad came out for day no. 2 today of the 2015 Aggie Invitational. They continued their solid performance with singles wins from Ludavine Burguiere, Sharon Coone, Rachana Bhat and Ruth Copas.
In doubles play, Emily Olivier and Ludavine Burguiere had wins over the tandems of Desiree Jackson/Mikayla Morgan (AzCU) 6-3 and Ashvarya Shrivastava/Rimpledeep Kaur (NMSU) 6-2. Sharon Coone and Rachana Bhat beat hosts Mia Brandt and Marie-Pier Tiffault by 6-2.
“I was very impressed with the adjustments our team made moving from day one to day two,” head coach Kelcy McKenna said. “Today we did a much better job of sustaining our energy throughout each match and competing from start to finish”
The Lobos finish the Aggie Invitational tomorrow as they enter into the finals of the tournament.
