ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s and women’s cross country teams will be holding team tryouts on Friday, August 14 at 8:30 a.m. at the University of New Mexico’s Outdoor Track Complex.
The nationally ranked and defending six-time Mountain West champion men’s and women’s teams are aiming to sweep the conference titles once again and are looking to add new talent, starting with a team tryout in August.
In order to try out, all interested students will need to fulfill a list of requirements before arriving for their tryout, including:

Full-time enrollment as students (12 credit hours) at UNM for the Fall 2015 semester.

A signed paper from physician proving they have undergone a physical within the last calendar year (performed anytime from August 14, 2014 through August 13, 2015).

Proof of current health insurance (i.e., health insurance card or papers) from their health insurer.

Registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center, including certified final amateurism, and a Member Number.

Final transcripts from previous institution.
Students should arrive promptly for the tryout at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 14, ready to sign a waiver and wearing appropriate running attire.
At the tryout, the coaching staff will conduct a 3,200-meter time trial.
Those who make the cut will be asked to stay near campus for a team meeting. It is suggest students bring a drink and snack for post-tryout.
