Matt Ensor

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Matt Ensor has been promoted to Associate Communications Director as some sports and duties have been shuffled around, announced Frank Mercogliano, Assistant Athletic Director for Communications.

Ensor, entering his fourth year at The University of New Mexico, will begin his second year heading the communications efforts for the Lobo men’s basketball program.  He previously spent two years with the women’s basketball program and the men’s soccer program.  Ensor will also now handle the duties as the communications director for the women’s soccer program.

Chelsey ChamberlainChelsey Chamberlain, who will be entering her third year with New Mexico, will now assume communications responsibilities for Lobo women’s basketball to go along with her continuing duties with softball.  She previously was the communications director for the volleyball program.  She replaces Greg Archuleta, who moved into the private sector.

“Both Matt and Chelsey have done great jobs at UNM in leading the communications plans for their respective sports, through the website and social media,” said Mercogliano.  “For Matt, he has shown he can handle the rigors of the men’s basketball program and has a great rapport with the local and national media.  As our women’s basketball program continues its rise back to national prominence, having someone like Chelsey who is savvy with social media will mesh well with Coach Sanchez and what she envisions for her program.”
