Albuquerque, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Athletics Department will host auditions for National Anthem singers on Wednesday, August 5. The auditions will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at WisePies Arena aka The Pit.
A total of 34 slots are available for basketball, 17 men’s and 17 women’s, and spots are also available for Olympic Sports. Each singer will have two minutes to perform a traditional version of the anthem. Singers will be notified of selections the week of Aug. 16-17
You must reserve a time slot to audition; there will be no guarantee for walk-ins the day of auditions. Those auditioning are asked to be prompt and ready to sing when they arrive at WisePies Arena. Please check in at the Northeast corner of WisePies Arena near the Lobo ticket office.
