MCLEAN, Va. – The University of New Mexico women’s athletics programs have finished in the top 50 of the Capital One Cup standings as announced yesterday morning. The Lobos finished 43rd among the nation. 

The Lobos earned 13 total points in the Capital One Cup, highlighted by a third place NCAA finish by women’s cross country and a fifth place finish on the women’s side of skiing. 

Schools earn points based on their teams’ top-10 finishes in NCAA Division I championships and in final official coaches’ polls across 20 women’s and 19 men’s sports as they compete to win the Capital One Cup trophy and a combined $400,000 in scholarships for student-athletes.
