COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West Conference has released its 18-game conference schedule for the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team for the 2015-16 season.
New Mexico opens MW play on the road on Wednesday, December 30 at Nevada. The Lobos first conference home contest is set for Saturday, January 2 as the Lobos play host to the Fresno State Bulldogs.
With eleven programs participating in women’s basketball in the Mountain West, the Lobos will face two teams only one time next season. UNM will play Wyoming (in Laramie) and Colorado State (in Albuquerque) just once. The Lobos will play all the other MW opponents twice (one home, one away).
The Lobos’ non-conference schedule has been released and will feature a home-and-home with New Mexico State, 10 games in WisePies Arena aka The Pit and visits to Minnesota, UTEP and SMU. For a look at the full non-conference schedule, click here.
