SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of New Mexico volleyball team will be getting some national exposure this season, featuring a nationally televised match with USC provided by the Pac-12 Networks.
The Pac-12 Networks announced its telecast schedule for the upcoming 2015 volleyball season on Monday and New Mexico’s match versus USC is one of 92 matches that will be televised.
“It is a great opportunity for our program to be featured on the Pac-12 Networks against a great opponent like USC,” said head coach Jeff Nelson. “I am thrilled for our student-athletes as they will have the opportunity to play on national television and it is a great way to promote our program nationally.”
The Lobos visit the Trojans for the USC Classic Sept. 10-12 that will also feature matches with Pepperdine and Idaho State. UNM will match up with Pepperdine on Sept. 10 before taking on the Trojans Sept. 11 and will play its final match of the week against Idaho State on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The 2015 season is approaching fast as the Lobos open the season on the road at Ball State, Nelson’s alma mater, on August. 29.
