LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Collegiate Sports Video Association named Chris Crooks, Video Coordinator for University of New Mexico Football, the 2014-2015 Mountain West Conference Video Coordinator of the Year.  Crooks was selected by a majority vote of his peers in the Mountain West to receive the Conference Coordinator of the Year honor. He is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual CSVA banquet on May 14th, 2015.

The Bob Matey Award is presented to the Video Coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.

Chris Crooks is entering his fourth year at The University of New Mexico as the Football Video Coordinator. Crooks is involved in all day-to-day video operations, including the coordination of the student staff that tapes all practices and games, along with personally compiling opponent scouting breakdowns for the UNM coaching staff.

Crooks arrived in Albuquerque after spending one season with Larry Fedora at the University of Southern Mississippi as the Director of Sports Video.

Prior to his stint at Southern Miss, he spent three seasons at the University of Connecticut as the Assistant Director of Video Services. He also spent seasons as a Video Coordinator at Sacramento State while pursuing his undergraduate degree.

Crooks is a Cypress, CA native. He and his wife, Amy, have one son, Caleb.
