ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico volleyball team is holding its 9th annual Grass Bash event and it is just around the corner.
The Lobos will host the event this Saturday and Sunday, April 18 & 19. This event is one of the largest grass volleyball tounrnaments in the state and the tournament has made some new additions, including: Co-ed Rec Fours and Sitting Volleyball.
The Lobos have also partnered with a new foundation, the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation. This foundation is a philanthropic organization that provides opportunities for families and chilred with special needs. All proceeds will benefit the UNM Volleyball Scholarship Fund and the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation.
Also, many local businesses will be helping out with the event, including:
Rude Boy Cookies: They will be selling cookies at our Grass Bash event. A portion of the money raised from the cookie sales will then be donated to the UNM Scholarship fund.
Screen Images: They are creating our Grass Bash shirts for this year’s event.
Stone Face Courts: Donating nets to our Grass Bash event.
B2B: Restaurant on Central has donated a great amount of prizes to our event.
Carrie Tingley: She helped us create the sitting volleyball division and helpd spread the word about our Grass Bash event.
