KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) have released their All-District teams, and New Mexico’s Hugh Greenwood was voted to the District 17 Second Team. Greenwood was one of ten players selected to the NABC’s all-district team from the Mountain West Conference.

The senior point guard was an All-MW Third Team selection this season by the conference and the MW’s media. He became the second guard in program history to tally at least 1,000 points and 600 rebounds in a career, joining Lamont Long (1996-2000). Greenwood wrapped up his collegiate playing days among the top ten in UNM history in minutes played (3,843), assists (372) and made three-point field goals (187) in a career. The Tasmanian also set the MW’s record for conference games played in a career at 65, tying Boise State’s Derrick Marks.

While the senior’s fingerprints are all over the Lobo record book, his impact on the community has been as big as any student-athlete in New Mexico history. His breast cancer awareness initiatives have made national headlines, and his Pink Pack charity has raised over $52,000 for the UNM Cancer Center.

Greenwood graduates from the University of New Mexico with five conference championships, and part of a Lobo Basketball team that became the first program in conference history to win three-straight MW Tournaments.
