ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – What’s better than coming to Lobo Field on a beautiful afternoon and cheering on the UNM baseball team? How about a hot dog eating contest beforehand?

Approximately 30 minutes prior to the Lobo baseball game at Lobo Field this Saturday against the University of Houston, there will be a hot dog eating contest presented by Wienerschnitzel pitting 15 contestants against each other to see who can be the first to eat 15 complete hot dogs (buns included). The winner will receive six months FREE FOOD at Wienerschnitzel*.

Here are the rules:
– Each Hot Dog must be completely eaten.
– The first contestant to eat 15 hot dogs will be named the winner. (Judges will confirm that 15 hot dogs have been fully consumed before the winner is announced.)
– If none of the contestants reach the 15 hot dog limit, whoever has eaten the most in 12 minutes will be the winner.
– No condiments are allowed, but water will be permitted to prevent choking
– Hot dogs are allowed to cool after being cooked to prevent burns.
– In the event of a tie, a two hot dog eat-off will determine the winner.
