Albuquerque, N.M. — The University of New Mexico football team will host its annual Pro Day for scouts tomorrow at the Indoor Practice Facility and the weight room.

The day serves as a chance for UNM’s departing seniors to go through many of the same tests and drills that are conducted at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.  Last year, New Mexico saw a pair of offensive lineman in Daryl Johnson and Dillon Farrell signed to free agent contracts in part to their work at UNM’s Pro Day.  Farrell made the 53-man roster for the 49ers last season.

The day will start at 11:30 with an official welcome for the visiting pro scouts and official measurements.  At noon, activity and drills will commence in the football Athletic Performance Center such as the bench press, vertical and broad jumps.

After a short break, activity will move to the Indoor Practice Facility at 1:30 was physical testing and workouts such as the 40-yard dash, cone drills and other agility drills.

Credentialed media members are invited to come out starting at noon in the Athletic Performance Center.  Departing seniors can be interviewed following the day’s activities.
