ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team is inviting all fans out to WisePies Arena, aka, “The Pit” on Saturday vs. Nevada for its “Pink Pack Game.”
All fans who wear pink to the game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness will receive a $2 ticket.
A special “pink” jersey auction also will take place 30 minutes after the game ends with all proceeds going to the Pink Pack, the fundraiser started by Lobo men’s basketball guard Hugh Greenwood that benefits the UNM Cancer Center and honors his mother, who is battling secondary breast cancer.
Hugh’s sister, Josie, is a member of the women’s team.
Bring your sweet tooth and get $1 pink cotton candy. The women’s team also will sign autographs after the game. The game-time tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
Come support the hottest women’s team in the Mountain West as the Lobos shoot for their 10th straight win at home and seventh straight win overall. You’ll help the Lobos and help spread Breast Cancer Awareness.
No matter the outcome of the game, you and the Lobos will leave as winners!
