ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – If you are looking for a fun atmosphere this spring, come on down to Lobo softball games as there are many exciting promotions happening.
There are recurring promotions that include $2 Tuesdays, Facebook Fridays, Signature Saturdays, Pack the Park, Elementary School Day and Sunday Fun Day. Many other promotional days will be involved such as: 80s Day, Heroes Appreciation Night, Strike Out Cancer, Senior Day and many more!
See the promotional schedule below for more information on what each day will consist of. Lobo softball opens up the home season on March 3 with a doubleheader against UTEP, starting at noon.
Promotions for this season include:
Recurring Promotions:
o $2 Tuesdays – Everyone can attend a Tuesday Lobo softball game for $2.
o Facebook Fridays – Friend your Lobo softball team on Facebook, post pictures of you and your friends at Lobo Softball Field or in your Lobo softball gear using #UNMSoftball and #GoLobos.
o Signature Saturdays – Meet and get autographs from your Lobo softball team following each Saturday game.
o Sunday Fun Day – Enjoy some dance music in between innings as you watch your Lobo softball team play every Sunday. Be sure to stretch before running the bases after the game during our “Fun Run”.”
o Pack the Park (Friday, May 1 at 5 p.m. & Saturday, May 9 at 12 p.m.) – Let’s break the Lobo softball attendance record by filling up every seat at Lobo Softball Field. $3 tickets for everyone. Bring your friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors to support your Lobo softball team.
o Elementary School Day (Friday, March 6 at 2:30 and 5 p.m. & Thursday, April 2 at 5 p.m.) – Elementary school students, faculty, staff and parents, support your Lobos as well as your elementary school by purchasing a $4 ticket. $1 from each $4 ticket will go directly to your elementary school.
o Lobo Club Day (Friday, April 3 at 5 p.m. & Sunday, May 3 at Noon) – Lobo Club Members can purchase a $1 ticket to the game with a valid membership card.

Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day – Tuesday, March 3 at Noon and 2 p.m.
o $2 Tickets for everyone.
Opening Day Celebration – Friday, March 6 at 5 p.m.
o Come watch your Lobo softball team play under the lights at Lobo Softball Field for the first time this season. This game will also be a part of Elementary School Day and the Camper Appreciation Weekend.
Cherry Crush – Tuesday, March 24 at 4:30 p.m.
o Lobo softball wants you to wear your cherry as they take on our in-state rivals from New Mexico State as well as in support of healthy hearts. Heart disease is the number one killer of women and Lobo softball wants you to take preventative measures to make sure that you stay healthy.
80s Day – Thursday, April 2 at 5 p.m.
o Lobo softball wants you to join them as they take it back, way back before our Lobo softball student-athletes were born, to the 80s! Fans in 80s fashion can purchase a $3 ticket. We will have a “best dressed” contest and an “air guitar” contest.
Homers and Egg Hunting – Saturday, April 4 at Noon
o Celebrate with the Easter Bunny, Lobo Lucy, Lobo Louie, and your Lobo softball team. There will be an egg hunt during the game in the plaza for children (infant to 14).
Heroes Appreciation Night – Friday, April 10 at 5 p.m.
o Join Lobo softball as we show appreciation to our military, emergency response, fire and police heroes. All public service personnel and family can purchase $3 tickets.
Turquoise Day – Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m.
o $3 tickets for fans wearing turquoise.
Bark in the Park – Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m.
o Bring your dog to root for your Lobo softball team
Ladies Day – Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m.
o Join your Lobo softball team as they welcome back Lobo softball alumnae. $3 tickets for those in big hats (Kentucky Derby and Mad Hatter style) and feel like a Lobo celebrity as you take pictures in front of the Lobo backdrop.
Strike Out Cancer – Thursday, May 7 at 5 p.m.
o Help your Lobo softball team strike out cancer by participating in the basket raffle. All basket raffle proceeds will go towards research. Those wearing pink to the game can purchase a $3 ticket.
Cow Folk Night – Friday, May 8 at 6 p.m.
o Support your Lobo softball team while listening to some country music between innings. Those in country and western attire can purchase a $3 ticket.
Senior Day – Saturday, May 9 at Noon
o $3 tickets for everyone. Come watch, thank and say farewell to our Lobo softball senior student-athletes.
