ALBUQUERUQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s tennis team is kicking off the 2015 spring season this weekend with four consecutive home matches. All matches will be played on the indoor courts at the Linda Estes Tennis Center.

“We can’t wait to kick off the dual match season this weekend,” head coach Erica Jasper said. “Dual matches and team play is what makes college tennis so fun and so special. We have 4 very tough opponents–we’ll have to be physical and disciplined to put ourselves in position to win.”

On Friday evening, UNM will host Big-12 Conference member Kansas at 6 p.m. MT. The Lobos’ match against the Jayhawks will also serve as USTA Southwest League Appreciation night.

The Lobos close out the weekend with a challenging match on Sunday as they face the SEC’s No. 23 South Carolina at 11 a.m. MT. The Gamecocks are bringing a fully loaded lineup including two ITA ranked singles players and two ITA ranked doubles pairs.
