Lobo Faithful:

The season is like a carnival ride and the past two and a half weeks have been a roller coaster. Flying high, flying low…with all kinds of twists, turns and unexpected events. Great teams deal with adversity and I think we are a great team….everything still to play for! Our past two matches haven’t gone our way. Attractive soccer, dominant statistically, but the scoreboard shows otherwise. Trust me, I have wracked my brain and have thought way too much into the wee hours of the night. To simplify things: we haven’t been taking our chances, we have had brief defensive miscues which have been exploited and the bounces haven’t gone our way. A team makes its own breaks and I am confident our best soccer is still ahead of us….it has to be in order to achieve our goals. Here’s where we stand: 10-5-1 on the season, #25 in country, #35 in the NCAA RPI and a guaranteed two games ahead (regular season finale at home this Friday night vs South Carolina and the Conference-USA Tournament Quarterfinal on Wednesday, November 12th in Norfolk, Virginia). The boys have responded to the challenge and training has been excellent. I am excited to see our six seniors play out their final regular season match this weekend and we are in charge of our own destiny. Below are the re-caps of our last two matches:
