*Michael Arredondo recovered a fumble on a muffed punt, his first fumble recovery of his career.
*Jhurell Pressley’s first quarter 34-yard touchdown gave him rushing touchdowns in six of the last seven games. He eventually rushed for 138 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. His three touchdowns were the first time a Lobo scored three rushing touchdowns since Kasey Carrier had three touchdowns (all in the opening quarter) last year against New Mexico State.
*Tevin Newman’s second quarter interception was his second of the season and the fourth of his career.
*Isaiah Brown’s fourth quarter interception was his first of his career. He was playing in his first series since the opening quarter of the Fresno State game on September 26.
*Zack Rogers made a 44-yard field goal in the second quarter, and it was his longest of his career. It also was fourth straight make and he is now 5-6 on the season.
*UNM now has 15 takeaways, which is four more than the entire 2013 season. UNM got those 10 takeaways in the first six games last year.
*Dakota Cox didn’t record double-figure tackles for only the third time in the last 14 games. He had seven which was tied for third on the team.
*Lamar Jordan now has two fourth quarter game-winning drives to his credit. The last freshman to have one was Donavan Porterie in 2006.
*The Lobos are 2-5 this season when trailing after three quarters. In Bob Davie’s first two seasons, the Lobos were just 1-15 in such games.
*Pressley’s 138 yards was the 28th 100-yard rushing game under Davie and the 14th-most under Davie at New Mexico.
*SaQwan Edwards had a career-high 10 tackles. His previous best was seven.
