Beginning on Monday, Oct. 20, UNM students can pick up 2014-15 Lobo basketball tickets. The Lobo Men’s team opens their season on November 1st in The Pit against Western New Mexico. The Lobo Women’s squad will open their 2014-15 season on November 9th against Eastern New Mexico.
“Our students are important to our program not only because of what they bring to The Pit environment with their enthusiasm, but because our players are students too,” said head coach Craig Neal. “Our student section has been great over the past decade, and that’s a big deal because our fans and Lobo Nation mean a lot to this program.”
The Lobo student tickets are available to any UNM student taking six credit hours and in possession of a “red” Lobo card. A single student may bring two valid UNM “red” IDs and pick up two student tickets. A student who brings one valid UNM ID can pick up one student ticket and purchase a single guest ticket for $10. As a reminder, tickets in the student section are general admission with no reserved seating.
Tickets can be picked up the date of the initial distribution starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Lobo Ticket Office at The Pit. See the specific pick-up dates for the season below.
After Monday, tickets are available at UNM Bookstore Ticket Office on campus during normal business hours. UNM Students may pick up tickets for out-of-session games beginning on December 1st ticket distribution date.
Student tickets for Coach Sanchez and the Lobo women’s team’s games can be picked up at any time throughout the season at the ticket off in The Pit.
Proposed student pickup dates for MBB (all Mondays):
October 20th – For games 11/1 (Eastern New Mexico), 11/7 (Adams State) and 11/14 (Idaho State)
November 10th – For games 11/16 (Cal State – Fullerton), 11/30 (USC), 12/3 (New Mexico State) and 12/13 (Louisiana – Monroe)
December 1st – For games 12/17 (Central Arkansas), 12/31 (Fresno State), 1/3 (Colorado State), 1/14 (Air Force) and 1/18 (Boise State)
January 26th – For games 1/31 (San Jose State), 2/7 (Utah State) and 2/17 (San Diego State)
February 9th – For games 2/21 (UNLV) and 3/7 (Wyoming)
The UNM athletic department encourages students who are unable to use tickets to return them to the Lobo Ticket Office in The Pit as well as the UNM Bookstore Ticket Office.
