PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – University of New Mexico’s Natasha Smith and Dominique Dulski defeated Brown’s Hannah Camhi and Dayna Lord, 6-2, 6-3, in the first round of qualifying doubles action on Tuesday morning at the 2014 Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships.
“I am exceptionally pleased with Natasha and Dominique,” associate head coach Kelcy McKenna said. “The energy and competitiveness was fantastic throughout the entire match.”
The duo’s victory allows them to continue their run in the Qualifying Doubles Draw.
Smith and Dulski have a tough second round ahead of them, as they will face Miami’s Lina Lileikite and Stephanie Wagner on Wednesday morning. The Hurricane doubles team put up a 10-4 overall doubles record including a 5-1 ACC record last season. Wagner is currently ranked No. 18 in ITA Preseason Rankings while Lileikite comes in at No. 71.
