When an athlete joins the University of New Mexico track and field program, they become part of a special championship history. Few programs in America can boast the proud tradition of excellence that exists at New Mexico.
Between 1958 and 2012, Lobo athletes have earned All-America honors 122 times, won 13 national event titles and 249 conference events. As a team, the UNM men and women have registered 26 top-30 national finishes and placed among the top-15 in the country 16 times.
At New Mexico the success of today was built upon a foundation of pride, tradition, and a commitment to excellence that will never be forgotten.
