- The Lobos finished the season undefeated for the first time in program history with a record of 18-0-4
- The team set a new program record for consecutive games won in a single season with 13 straight wins
- New Mexico set a program record for games unbeaten overall and in a single season, surpassing the previous records of 20 games unbeaten over two seasons and 11 games unbeaten in a single season
- The Lobos finished the season ranked No. 1 in the country in all three major polls
