ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – University of New Mexico men’s soccer senior Levi Rossi was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Third Team for a second-consecutive year. His award marks the 18th time a Lobo has received Academic All-American honors since 2003. The senior from Denver leaves the program as one of its most academically decorated athletes.

Rossi is a two-time Capital One Academic-All District team member, a two-time Academic All-American and is on pace to be a three-time Academic All-MPSF team member. He has also helped spearhead numerous community service projects including organizing free youth clinics at Native American reservations and pueblos throughout the state of New Mexico.

His academic all-american honor caps off a great month of off-the-pitch awards for the team. Rossi, James Rogers and Adrian Mora Delgado were named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team, which saw the most Lobos on the team since 2008. Lobo Soccer also received its ninth NSCAA Team Academic award in the last decade.

Rossi leaves Albuquerque with 74 career appearances and over 4,600 minutes played. He tallied six goals and seven assists in his four-year career. Rossi’s senior year saw New Mexico finish the season 17-4-1 and tie a program record for most wins in a two-year span with 35 wins in 2011 and 2012.
