• New Mexico (6-0) defeats Portland (2-3) 69-54…the Lobos are 6-0 for the first time since a 12-0 beginning in 2009-10

• Leading just 30-27 at halftime, UNM opened the 2nd half with a 10-0 run over the first 2:01 to take a 40-27 advantage

• UNM hit its first 6 FGs to start the 2nd half

• New Mexico had 11 assists on 11 FGs in the 2nd half

• UNM won despite setting season lows for FG% (33%, 19-57) and 3-point shooting (10.5%, 2-19)…the 3-point accuracy is the lowest for a Steve Alford-coached Lobo team while the 2 3s are the fewest since making 2 last year against St. Louis on Dec. 31, 2011

• The Lobos are now shooting 41.2% from the floor for the season, including 33% (37-112) from 3-point

• New Mexico also won despite its top-2 scorers – Kendall Williams and Tony Snell – combining for only 16 points on 4-12 shooting…the duo came into tonight’s game averaging a combined 31 points
