ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – With tonight’s men’s soccer home opener falling at the same time as the Albuquerque Isotopes’ home playoff game, New Mexico Athletics would like to alert Lobo fans about the increase in traffic on Friday night.
The UNM Soccer Complex’s main entry on Avenida Cesar Chavez SE is also a shared route for Isotopes Park. Fans should take note of tonight’s potential traffic issues and are encouraged to take alternative routes if possible.
Instead of using the Avenida Cesar Chavez exit (Exit 223) from I-25, fans should try and use other streets to get to the game. The best route for fans to take is the Gibson exit (Exit 222) and then by University Blvd. instead turning onto Yale. Yale Boulevard intersects Cesar Chavez, which will get fans to the game without having to cross Isotopes Park.
Fans coming for the UNM soccer match should park in Stadium East. The other lots around the stadium will be utilized as paid parking for Isotopes Park. Parking for the UNM soccer match is free in Stadium East. Please plan accordingly depending on where you are arriving to the UNM Soccer Complex from.
Make sure to allow for extra time for your commute to tonight’s game to ensure you don’t miss a minute of the action.
