Lobo Football Season Ticket Information
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico and Texas A&M football teams have agreed to play in 2013, UNM announced Monday.
The game is scheduled for Nov. 16, 2013 in College Station, Texas. It is a one-year agreement in which UNM will receive $1 million for the game.
New Mexico coach Bob Davie was an assistant at Texas A&M from 1985-93, serving as outside linebackers coach from 1985-88 and defensive coordinator from 1989-93. The Aggies led the nation in total defense in 1991.
“Everyone knows the respect we have for the Texas A&M football program,” Davie said. “Obviously, it will be a big challenge, but also a great opportunity for our players and fans when we travel to College Station.”
The Lobos last visited the Aggies during the 2009 season opener. Texas A&M won that game 41-6. The Aggies own a 3-0 series lead over New Mexico, including a 28-22 win at University Stadium in 2008.
