Albuquerque, N.M. — Last spring, the New Mexico Lobos were selected to help debut the new Taos Echo Park soccer complex. This Saturday, the Lobos will make their return as the defending MPSF champions will take on Air Force on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. as a part of the Taos Eco Park Second Annual NCAA & Club Soccer Showcase.

The game is one of five scheduled on the day, that starts out with various club teams, and finishes with a semi-pro game featuring the Espanola Cobras and Colorado Springs Hustlers FC at 6 p.m.

The event will feature plenty of other activities throughout the day, including live radio remotes, hot air balloons, a food tent, and much more. All activities, admission, and parking is free for the event.

“We are really excited to once again play a competitive match in Taos,” said head coach Jeremy Fishbein. “They have such great support there, and the atmosphere and passion for soccer is just tremendous. They have a great facility to play at, and it really is all you can ask for in a facility.”

The squad is coming off a 2-1 spring double overtime win at SMU last Saturday. Air Force last season finished 11-5-2 overall and 5-3-2 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
