ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico Howl Raisers, a student organization founded in 2009 with the purpose of “bringing students together to create one of the best home site advantages in college athletics…,” is accepting applications for board positions for the 2012-2013 academic year. There are seven open positions: President, Vice President, Promotions and Marketing Chair as well as Basketball, Football, Soccer and Olympics Sports chairs.
Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20th 2012 and must be submitted through email to Alexis Henderson to AlexisH@unm.edu or Shawn Jimenez to Shawnpj@unm.edu.
Howl Raisers is one of the largest chartered student organizations at the University of New Mexico with over 1,000 active members. The organization is active in the athletic community constantly working with the athletic marketing department, Lobo coaches and student-athletes with the goal of increasing student attendance at athletic events.
Students who are currently registered at UNM with 12 or more credit hours are encouraged and entitled to join; membership is renewed on a yearly basis.
