ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – For the third time in four weeks senior diver Ashlee Erickson has been named Mountain West Diver of the Week. Of the four meets that UNM has participated in throughout the course of the season Erickson has won the 1-meter dive all four times, she’s also finished first on the 3-meter board three times.
Erickson swept both boards during New Mexico’s dual meet against Wyoming Saturday, Oct. 29 with a score of 330.75 on the 1-meter and 275.03 on the 3-meter.Her score on the 1-meter springboard is the highest in the conference; Erickson currently owns the three of the highest scores in the conference in the 1-meter.
Erickson also finished first in the 1-meter during UNM’s dual meet against Northern Colorado Thursday, Oct. 29, with a final score of 309.45.
All of the scores she has posted during the 2011-12 season have been NCAA Zone qualifying scores.
New Mexico is competition free until Nov. 17 when the divers head to Tucson, Ariz. for the Wildcat Diving Invitational and the swimmers travel to Houston, Texas for the Cougar Classic Fall Invitational.
