Gordonsville, Va. — Former University of New Mexico golfer Travis Ross is the clubhouse leader in the eGolf Tour’s Bushnell Classic at Spring Creek, having been one of 62 players to complete two rounds.
Sixty-six players had their second rounds suspended due to darkness.
Playing in just his second career start on the eGolf Tour, Ross shot a 69 on Thursday to finish the second round with an 8-under-par 136 at Spring Creek Golf Club.
South African Andrew McLardy and Canadian Brad Fritsch are tied for second, one shot behind Ross at 7 under for the event.
McLardy, a former PGA and Nationwide Tour player, was in the morning wave and able to finish 36 holes, posting rounds of 70-67–137. McLardy’s 67 was the low round of the morning wave, and one of only three carded in the 60s.
Fritsch, the tournament’s 18-hole leader following a 7-under 65, did not begin his second round until 4:20 p.m. due to the delays, and was still on the course when the horn was sounded at 6:45 p.m.
