Four Lobo women’s golfers named NGCA All-American Scholars

The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) has recognized four members of the University of New Mexico women’s golf team as All-American Scholars for 2010-11. Manon de Roey, Rebecca Hellbom and Sarah Salvo all met the criteria requiring a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50.

UNM women’s golf has had at least two NGCA All-American scholars every year since 2005.

Hellbom received the accolade for the third straight year. She has a 3.84 cumulative GPA, majoring in Musical Performance. Buchner was recognized for the second straight year, holding a 3.64 GPA in Business Administration.

Salvo and de Roey are first-time honorees. Salvo is majoring in Business Administration and has a 3.58 GPA. De Roey had a 3.51 GPA in her first year at UNM.

All four golfers will return for the 2011-12 season.
