ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Mountain West Conference announced Jadon Phillips as the Player of the Week on Wednesday. The Sophomore, hailing from Macon, Ga., went a combined 1-1 last Saturday as the 45th-ranked Lobos fell to 59th-ranked Boise State, 5-2, in Boise, Idaho.

After Phillips and partner Phil Anderson fell to the Broncos’ 75th-ranked tandem of Damian Hume and Scott Sears, 8-5, at the top of the doubles lineup, the sophomore bounced back with a singles victory. Positioned at the top of the singles lineup, the sophomore downed Hume, the 89th-ranked singles player in the country, 7-5, 6-7 (6-8), 10-5.

The Lobos will next face the Nebraska Cornhuskers at home this Friday. The match is slated to start at 1 p.m. at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex.
