ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico softball team travels to Lubbock, Texas Wednesday for a doubleheader with No. 19 Texas Tech at Rocky Johnson Field. The twin bill starts at 12 p.m. MT and will be available via GameTracker on GoLobos.com. Live video streaming of the games will be available through www.texastech.com. UNM is 6-6 on the season, while the Red Raiders are 22-0 and nationally-ranked.

New Mexico leads the all-time series with Texas Tech, 16-14. The last time UNM played the Red Raiders was 2009 in Albuquerque. The Lobos have won four of the last five meetings with Texas Tech.

UNM is coming off a tough weekend against No. 5 Washington. The Lobos were swept in a three-game series by the Huskies at home. New Mexico put together a strong showing against the Huskies and forced extra innings in game one.

New Mexico, who is looking for its first road win Wednesday, is hitting .309 as a team with nine triples. The Lobos have 39 extra base hits including eight home runs. Junior Jessica Garcia has a team-high .447 batting average and three home runs. UNM has seven Lobos hitting over .300 this year.

The Lobos are still using three pitchers in the circle. Sophomores Kari Gutierrez (2-3) and Kaela DeBroeck (3-3) have been the primary starters. Freshman Madeline Greene (1-0) has mostly been used in relief appearances.

The Lobos will play their next 19 games on the road starting Wednesday. Following the Texas Tech game, UNM will head west to Reno, Nev., for the Nevada Classic this weekend.
