COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – All four members of the University of New Mexico diving team were recognized by the Mountain West Conference yesterday for their performances during last week’s conference championships.
Melissa Bollig, Megan Harper, Ashlee Erickson and Aubrey Bush were all named to the All-MWC performance list. This is the first time since the formation of the conference that New Mexico has had four divers honored.
Melissa Bollig and Aubrey Bush were both honored for their performances in the 1- and 3-meter springboard and the platform. Bush placed fifth in both the 3-meter and 1-meter with finals of 277.05 and 255.90 respectively. She also took second in the platform with a score of 232.65
Bollig, a freshman, finished sixth in the 3-meter springboard and platform with scores of 268.50 and 189.45, she was also seventh in the 1-meter with a final of 245.30.
Junior Erickson placed fourth and eighth in the 3- and 1-meter with scores of 282.60 and 243.80.
Harper placed eighth in the 3-meter with a tally of 244.55.
To earn a spot on the all-conference team, an individual must place in the top eight at the MWC Championships.
