ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s tennis team looks to improve their record of 5-5 this weekend against Northern Arizona (5-5). Lobos will play the Lumberjacks on Sunday, beginning doubles at 10 a.m. After playing two road matches away in Boulder, Colo. this past weekend, the team will resume match play at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex.
New Mexico is coming back from two road losses against Oregon and Colorado. The matches were tough breaks and proved that there has definitely been improvement in the team overall. The Lobos will just continue to progress through the spring campaign.
Head Coach Roy Cañada believes that his team is up for the challenge.
“NAU has a very experienced roster with several upperclassmen,” Cañada said. “We are looking at a battle in our hands. We are hungry for a win and ready for the challenge.”
Up next, the Lobos will travel to Boise State. Where they will play Boise State on Saturday, March 5 and Montana on Sunday March 6. Times are to be announced.
