ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico (5-3) Women’s tennis team looks to travel to Boulder, Colo. this weekend to compete against University of Oregon (4-2) and University of Colorado at Boulder (2-2). Play begins on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. again Oregon. The Lobos take on the Buffs on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at 11 a.m.
Lobos are coming off a successful weekend against New Mexico State and Montana State. New Mexico fell to New Mexico State in a heart-breaking close match, 4-3. Bouncing back, the Lobos defeated Montana State in a swift, 6-1 decision.
“We are ready for Colorado and Oregon, they are good teams,” Canada said. “We are going to be playing good tennis at high altitudes. We have the momentum to continue succeeding.”
Following this weekend’s action, the Lobos will host Northern Arizona next Sunday February 27, 2011. Play begins at 10 a.m.
