Albnuquerque, N.M. — After signing seven shining stars, the Lobo men’s soccer team is now looking for a diamond in the rough. The men’s soccer team will host an open tryout on February 23 from 3-5 p.m. at the UNM Soccer Complex practice fields. If successful, a student can become a member of a Lobo program with eight NCAA College Cup appearances in the last 10 seasons.

To be eligible to tryout a student must be a full-time student enrolled at UNM in at least 12 hours. He would also need proof of a physical from a doctor signed within the last 12 months indicating they are cleared to participate in physical activities, along with proof of insurance (insurance card or copy will do).

Students will also sign a release for activity at the tryout. Students wanting to tryout should bring cleats, shinguards, and sweats, as the tryouts will be outdoors on the soccer practice fields.

Anyone wishing to tryout must contact assistant coach Brandon Moss at 505-925-5728, or at bmoss@unm.edu.
