  • New Mexico falls 63-62 at UNLV…the Lobos are now 13-7 overall and 1-4 in the Mountain West Conference for the first time since the 2006-07 season
  • UNM has lost three straight games for the first time under 4th-year head coach Steve Alford…the Lobos’ last 3-game losing skid was the final five games of the 2006-07 season…Alford’s last 3-game losing streak was a 4-game slide between Nov. 19-29, 2006, when he was at Iowa: losses to Alabama, Villanova, Arizona State and Virginia Tech
  • The Lobos are 1-2 in 1-point games this season, winning at Texas Tech (61-60) and losing at Wyoming (67-66)
  • New Mexico took a 61-58 lead today on a 3-pointer by freshman Tony Snell with 1:52 remaining, however, UNM committed four turnovers in its final five possessions over the final 1:14 of the game
  • The Lobos tied a season-high with 20 turnovers…UNLV had 11 steals, most by a Lobo opponent this season
  • UNM out-rebounded UNLV 33-22 and shot better from the floor (47.8% to 46.8%)
  • UNLV was 6 of 13 from 3-point, meaning opponents have converted 29 of 57 (51%) the past 3 games
