Hope the New Year is treating you well! New Mexico Men’s Soccer is back at it. School started up on Tuesday, January 18th and the boys were up early for the first day of winter training. I’m very excited about next years group and the exciting times ahead of us. Our seniors are all doing well. Michael Reed, Matt Armstrong and James Urbany are all currently on trial with various professional teams around the country. David Murphy graduated in December and has been fortunate to join the workforce in a sales capacity and Ryan Farquharson is back training and is well on his way to a full recovery. I thought you may want to have a look at these recent articles highlighting our team:
Our home game atmosphere was tremendous this fall, resulting in a #7 national ranking in home game attendance.
Six Lobos were named to the MPSF All Academic Team this fall. You can view the release here.
Coach Brandon Moss has brought our program into the 21st Century via social networking. Lobo Soccer is up and running with individual accounts on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. There is also a Facebook page for Lobo Soccer Alumni. Ideally you will join our “friends list” for all three and if you want to remain anonymous, just have a look around the sites. Thanks for all your support. National Signing Day is February 2nd and we will have some exciting new faces joining the Lobos in the fall of 2011. Be on the lookout for new player bios and pictures. All the best.
