New Mexico head coach Mike Locksley
Opening Statement:
“Obviously, we are disappointed with today’s outcome. As a head coach I’m disappointed forthe fourteen seniors that have endured a tough two years.”
“We didn’t play well today, we didn’t execute on offense, defense, and special plays and that allstarts with me as a head coach. As with the end of any year, there will be evaluations of everypart of this program. There will be some tough decisions to be made, but I’m willing to makethose decisions as a head coach.”
“Those decisions will be the ones to move the program forward, whether they have to do withcoaches or personnel, I will do whatever it take to get this program back on track. Again it allstarts with me, I’ve never once ducked the responsibility that comes with being a head coach, and I don’t plan on starting now.”
“We will make some tough decisions, but they will be to move the program forward. I thinkthat we have helped ourselves some with recruiting that will help develop our program, and I’mlooking forward to the 2011 season.”
New Mexico Players
Pete Gardner – How were your opportunities in the second half?”We got out there and started hitting them in the mouth. We hit the quarterback (AndyDalton) and we rattled them a little bit. The defense got some turnovers and made someopportunities for the offense and kept building momentum.”
Stump Godfrey – How do you think the team did against TCU?
“We did great. We kept fighting. We gave ourselves a chance to stay in the game. We have a farway to go. Our team is doing a great job.”
