COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — New Mexico kicker James Aho has been named the Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. Aho, a junior from Roswell, N.M., earned his first conference award of the year and fourth of his career.

Aho kicked a 38-yard field goal as time expired to help New Mexico snap a nine-game losing streak with a 34-31 win over Wyoming. He also connected on a career-best 51-yard attempt at the 9:30 mark of the third quarter to pull the Lobos to within four at 21-17. Aho also connected on all four of his extra point attempts against the Cowboys, finishing the contest with 10 points.

Aho is 11th all-time at New Mexico in scoring and fourth all-time in field goals made.
