New Mexico Struggles The Second Day Of The Fall InviteLobos pulled through with three victories

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Universtiy of New Mexico women’s tennis team wrapped up their second day at the UNM Fall Invitational. Ending Saturday with four strong wins. To advance them within the tournament.

Unfortunately, Ashley Bonner is out for the tournament and suffering from a pinched nerve in her back. After advisment from her doctor she is going to be back and ready for the spring.

Singles winners of the day included Anya Villanueva, Michaela Bezdickova and Michaela Oldani.

Head Coach Roy Canada was proud of his girls fighting effort on the courts.

“We did not play as good as we did yesterday but we found a way to still achieve four grity wins,” Canada said. “We are still concerned with Ashley’s injury. Even though she won’t be able to play tomorrow the doctors assesment is reassuring us she will be ready soon and will be 100 percent for the spring.”

Contest continues Sunday at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex.
