In the pool, Hayley Martin, Ashley Blanchette, and Lindsey Morris placed first, second, and third in the 100-yard breaststroke for the Lobos. Hayley Martin’s final time was 1:07.20, Ashley Blanchette had a final time of 1:07.54, and rounding out the top three was Lindsey Morris with a time of 1:07.72.

“We had a fantastic performance and meet today,” said Lobo head coach Tracy Ljone. “The ladies swam well, and a lot of them had some of the best times of their lives. Not only did the divers give us another great performance, but we had girls like Heidi Zeiger, Maria Dudley, and Tesse Maciejko really step it up in their events.”

Following this meet against the Rebels, the Lobos will head to Denver Colo., this weekend for Relays hosted by Denver University. The event will consist of teams from around the country such as Northern Colorado, Mesa State, Wyoming, Air Force, Colorado State, and host Denver.

“Going into Denver we’re going to continue to prepare and train hard,” said Ljone. “We have a big meet coming up next weekend where we will welcome San Diego State, Air Force and Colorado State which we’re very excited for.”

The meet against the three schools will start at 11 a.m. MT on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Seidler Natatorium and will be the last home meet for the Lobos. Following the meet the Lobos will hit the road for the remainder of the year. Oct. 23 will also be Senior Day for the Lobos.
