ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The University of New Mexico women’s softball team will host the National Pro Fastpitch All-Star Team in Albuquerque on Oct. 7 as a part of their “Back to School College Tour.”
The event will include such names as former gold medal Olympian Cat Osterman, along with several other highly esteemed players from the NPF.
“UNM softball is truly excited to host such a group of such outstanding softball players to our home in Albuquerque. It’s our chance to bring some of the best athletes in the nation to our city,” said UNM head softball coach Erica Beach. “It will be a great challenge for our team and will help us to prepare for our spring season. The National Pro Fastpitch League is something our coaching staff has been involved with for years as players, and we look forward to showing the Southwest what it is all about.”
The game will start at 7:30 p.m. on Oct.7 at the Lobo Softball Field at UNM. For more information please see the attached flyer.
