New Mexico had a season-high 114 rushing yards at UNLV…it was the first time UNM has rushed for over 100 yards since Nov. 21, 2009 against Colorado State, 270.The Lobo coaches wore Coach to Cure MD patches Saturday to raise awareness and funding for Muscular Dystrophy research.The Lobos fall to 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in Mountain West Conference action…UNM is 0-2 on the road.UNLV’s fumble recovery returned for a touchdown was the first against UNM since Rodelin Anthony scored for the Rebels in 2008.UNM is 3-9 in Mountain West road openers, and they have lost their last three.Saturday’s attendance was 16,961

INDIVIDUALFreshman QB Tarean (TAR-ean) Austin

– Made his first career start … became the first Lobo quarterback to start as a true freshman since Jeremy Leach in 1988…he was 17-for-40 for 177 yards.
– Austin’s 17 completions were the most in a starting debut for a Lobo quarterback since 2001 when Casey Kelly went 20-for-30, and it was the second-most completions in a Lobo QB debut in the last 20 seasons.

Sophomore RB Demond Dennis
– Rushed for a season-high 88 yards Saturday…his career-high is 133 vs. CSU last year.Senior WR Bryant Williams
– Caught his second touchdown of the season in the first quarter against UNLV…has had a TD reception in back-to-back games for UNM.Senior WR Chris Hernandez
– Had a career-high seven catches Saturday (for 66 yards)…his previous high was four set three times.Junior WR Michael Scarlett
